You can never beat the old fashioned grab bag. Its .999 and though generic the designs have novelty nostalgia for some.
I like to mix my silver with coins and bars and I use these to keep me in the lower shipping category when the premium from coins puts me into the next category. -

I bought these 50 bars to sell on Ebay and wanted cheap. I was surprised at the great condition they were in. I was even more surprised that because of the different themes they actually sold for a few dollars more than the "better known bars".
Whether it's a celebration of Lindburg's flight with the Spirit of St Louis flying across the bar, or American Figures from history or just Merry Christmas, it seems the theme appeal strikes someone no matter the theme.
Not to say there wasn't a good number of the Silvertownes, Englehards, etc. There were those too. Damn fine mix, I'll be back for more. -

I ordered this bar to try out the bar-form of silver. This bar was heavily circulated, but still looked good. I ordered it for my husband's birthday in Jan, and I got a bar that had "Merry Christmas" printed on it. The "Our Choice" bars are good if you just want to get silver in your hands quickly, and don't care what form it comes in. At $31.35 per ounce it is a little expensive and not easily divisible, but can make good gift and provide a hedge against dollar devaluation. The bars are not going to be easily divisible like fractional coins, but they still make a great novelty item in your collection.

Not pretty, but valuable

These bars are silver, and let's face it, that's why we buy them. They're not pretty, some are pretty silly, but I did find one with Mason symbology on it that I gave as a gift to a Mason friend for Christmas. I'm buying mine as an inflation hedge, and I really don't care what they look like. Silver doesn't care if it's in a bar, a coin, stamped with Santa or with Engelhard. Whatever the form, it is a reservoir of money in metal form. Provident provides fast shipping, good prices, and have been reliable.

Orders are shipped only after receipt of good funds. Orders paid by bank wire, credit card or postal money orders usually ship within 3-5 business days. Orders paid by personal check, cashier’s check or bank money order are held until funds fully clear (at least 6 business days and as many as 10 business days) before processing.
A majority of orders are shipped via USPS. FedEx, UPS and Brinks are also used on occasion at our discretion. If you would like to use a specific shipping service, please contact Customer Service at (877) 429-8790 for a custom shipping quote.
All orders are shipped fully insured.
Multiple orders cannot be combined to save on shipping or for any other purpose.
All packages over $50 require a signature to be received.
All packages shipped via USPS will be shipped First Class, Priority or Express Mail.
All orders totaling $5,000 or more will be shipped USPS Priority Registered Mail.
You will be notified by email when your package(s) ships. To protect our customers and Provident Metals from possible fraudulent activity, we do not provide tracking numbers on orders placed with credit cards.
All packages are shipped securely in inconspicuous packaging and give no indication of contents. Boxes may or may not be addressed from “Provident”.
Some oversized packages may be shipped Federal Express or UPS.
