These Silver Buffalo Rounds contain one troy ounce of pure .999 silver each, are hallmark stamped to that effect, and have a diameter of 39mm, making them roughly the same size as an American Silver Eagle. The design of the rounds is taken from James Earle Fraser’s famous Indian Head, or Buffalo, Nickel of late 1913, one of the most beloved and popular coins ever issued. With his nickel, Fraser, a former student of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, succeeded in capturing the elusive beauty and dignity of the American West. This same spirit has passed on through these Silver Buffalo Rounds. The Native American featured on the obverse, or front, of the rounds is believed to be an aggregate based upon three chiefs of differing tribes: Two Moons of the Cheyenne, Big Tree of the Kiowa, and Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux. The reverse, or back, of the rounds features the famous profile of Black Diamond, a 1,550-pound American Bison then living at the Bronx Zoo.

nice round
Review by William | May 8, 2012
Bought this and the Golden State mint buffalo to compare the two.
The NTR round is MUCH nicer. Better detail throughout the images on both sides.
I'll be buying more in the future.

Great investment for the money
Review by LUCIEN | April 28, 2012
This was my first purchase from Provident and I was extremely satisfied and impressed as to the quality and price. Hopefully soon i can advance to Palladium and Gold soon...just looking to scrape up the funds.
I recomend Provident to anyone who asks where to order from. The premiums are more than reasonable!!!! -

What a beautiful piece of silver. Magnificent tribute to the Indian head/buffalo nickel. Each grand-kid will be getting one.

The Classic of Generic Silver Rounds
Review by RogerB | February 6, 2012
I managed to snag some end of December 2011. I carry one in my pocket always.
My experience is - at many coin shops, a first-tier generic round like the NTR Buffalo commands just as high a re-sale price as an SAE. -
These are my Favorite
Review by Andrew | February 4, 2012
I REALLY LIKE THESE!!! My favorite generic round. Only downside is that the strikes on these coins are not near the same quality as ASE's or the like. But I still love em.

Great product and service...
Review by Michael | January 15, 2012
Like others have stated, the image does not do this round justice. They are bright and shiny. This was my first major purchase and I can't say enough about the folks at Provident. In spite of my bank giving me a hard time transferring funds for this purchase, the people at Provident were understanding through it all. For me product and customer service are keys to my future purchases and I look forward to doing more business with Provident.

First purchase
Review by MP | January 6, 2012
This was my first purchase with Provident, and my first online bullion order. These rounds look fantastic! Provident's shipping was on time as described for paying with personal check, even with the holiday season happening. Possibly the best part was how discreet the shipping was! I now have NO reservations about making continued, larger orders because they do it right.

Great Looking Buffalo Rounds
Review by Daniel | January 1, 2012
This is my second order from Provident, the Buffalo rounds were great looking, packed very securely. I had to wait 6 days for my check to clear , it was a 14 day start to finish transaction with No problems. I will and would do business again.

Exceeds Expectations
Review by bmiller1223@carolina.rr.com | December 15, 2011
Have to agree that these look much better than as shown. A very nice looking round. I am collecting these for the sake of having bullion; not fancy coins, but these serve both purposes. Think you will be very pleased as was I. Have already bought some more. No delay in shipping for me. Provident is a pleasure to do business with.

BEUTIFUL ROUNDS

I like these so much I want more.
Review by Peter | December 11, 2011
This really is a quality way to invest in silver, I got my shipment promptly. I payed much less then I would have for a MS 69 to 70 with a date, and you still have a marked ounce at a bargain price. I do believe I will continue to watch these rounds for future purchase, once again I really do hope they are not out of stock!! When the time comes for purchases.

I finally got some!!! YAY!!!
Review by Peter | December 7, 2011
Great way to invest in silver, I have read more then a few comment's on investing in silver. This site offers the most reasonable prices I have seen. Perhaps that's why whenever I tried to get this kind before they are always sold out !! Ah ha But back to the topic at hand, a lot of individuals say silver in small amounts is easier to unload come time to sell.

Excellent round!
Review by Tom | October 18, 2011
This NTR buffalo 1 troy ounce round looks much better in person than the picture. Beautiful mirror finish. Lowest premium round on this site and worth it. Purity and weight are clearly marked on reverse which is essential for resale.
Provident is the best dealer out there with hands down, the lowest premiums. They charge bulk prices for individual rounds which is unheard of in the industry. I also loved the discreet packaging. The company name on the return address was very clever! -
Very nice finish
Review by Bill | October 14, 2011
I have always love the buffalo Nickle wish they would make these in 1/2 ounce and 1/4 and 1/10 like the indian. Provident metals is excellent !!!! I have a bunch of silver Eagles wanted to try some of the private mint stuff. Very happy with detail.
