Featuring a variety of historic parks, sites and landmarks around the United States, the 2013 America the Beautiful Silver Coin Series presents investors and collectors with a stunning collection of 5 oz .999 fine silver coins. The 2013 series is the fourth year of the ATB program.
The fourth of five coins to be released in 2013, the Fort McHenry Silver Coin commemorates the battle at Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, Fort McHenry successfully defended Baltimore Harbor against an attack from the British Navy from the night of September 13 through the morning of the 14. It was this attack that inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the Star-Spangled Banner, a poem which was later set to music and designated to be America’s national anthem.
As with all the other ATB Quarters, the 5 oz Fort McHenry silver coin contains .999 fine silver. The obverse features a restored portrait of George Washington that was originally used on the 1932 Washington Quarter. The reverse side features an image of Fort McHenry, along with the American flag waving in victory and two distinct fireworks shooting up into the sky. In addition, the words “FORT McHENRY,” “MARYLAND,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” along with the date 2013 are all engraved.

Great 5oz ATB'sDavidon 1/22/14
OverallThese are Bullion coins, they may not be as good in numastict's feild but the weight is there and they are from US mint sold as Bullion. So you get what you pay for and i'm very happy with my order.

OverallReceived coin today and was happy that it did not display buffing or scratching marks. Happy with this bullion purchase.
Love itSJon 11/22/13
OverallI love these ATB 5-ounce coins, and I think this is one of the coolest ones. How can you go wrong with fireworks?
Very NiceFrancison 11/3/13
OverallMy first ATB so I don’t have anything for comparison. But overall this thing is really cool. The 5 oz ATB really is one heavy piece of ag in your hand. It does have some flaws, not a lot, but remember this is the bullion version. If you want perfection, order the “P” marked one from the mint and pay the heavy premium. I like it so much I’m probably going to grab the Mount Rushmore as well. Also can’t wait for Ellis Island in a few years.
I’m giving it 5 stars, even with a few flaws, because I’m aware this is the bullion version. If it was the numismatic version sent to me, it would only get 4 stars.
OverallNot typically a review writer, but this is a beautiful coin. I almost held off on ordering it because of the low rating. Do not be deterred. At this price it is a true value.
Gorgeous coin, don't miss outZazon 9/30/13
OverallWhatever planchet washing, drying and over polishing problems the Mint had with the Perry and Great Basin bullion issues has been resolved with the box of Ft. McHenry bullion Provident received. Absolutely near flawless deep mirror fields with small tiny flow marks as expected for a bullion product. Resembles the White Mountain bullion coin I received earlier from Provident. Looking forward to ordering Mt. Rushmore in a month. Thanks again, Provident for always fast and reliable service.
disappointed in this oneCharleson 9/22/13
Overalli have been collecting every one of these since they came out...i believe they will be very collectable in the future with the low mintage etc most of them have been very good chaco culture etc but this one is very disappointing...hope that mount rushmore is better...
