This beautiful coin has the same design as the .999 pure silver Lunar Series Horse, but with 24-karat gold decorating the pair of horses on the reverse. The contrast between these two precious metals makes the coin really stand out.
The reverse features a horse leaning down to drink from a rippling stream while its companion stands nearby. The stream trickles in the foreground and a scraggly tree grows just behind. The Chinese character for “horse” is in the top-center, with “Year of the Horse” near the bottom rim.
The obverse features a high-polish depiction of Queen Elizabeth in profile, with ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1 oz 999 SILVER, 2014, and 1 DOLLAR around the rim.
This special coin ships in a Perth Mint clamshell with the coin sealed in a plastic case. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a box featuring a photo of this powerful animal.
