Po in Kung Fu Panda acquired the skills to effectively challenge Tai Lung over the Dragon Scroll. The fighting style may not defend you against a turbulent economy, but the 2014 ¼ oz Chinese Gold Panda will.
Trust in the brilliant uncirculated coin to safeguard your wealth. Each Panda is composed of 1 troy ounce of .999 pure gold and will arrive in its original mint sealed plastic sleeve.
A lively panda plays with a branch in front of bamboo sticks on the reverse. He sits next to inscriptions of 100元 and just above ¼ oz AU .999.
The Temple of Heaven — a historic wonder built from 1406-1420 in celebration of the Harvest Ceremonies of Winter Solstice — graces the obverse. Chinese characters covering the top half of the coin translate to “The People’s Republic of China.”
Pandas challenge the dragon as a national symbol of China. The creatures live among the country’s central mountain ranges as deforestation, farming and developments have pushed the animal away from the lowlands that it previously occupied.
Having five fingers and a thumb, pandas can easily hold bamboo, which makes up 99 percent of their diet. They eat for nearly 12 hours per day.

- Lovely CoinJasonon 11/18/14
OverallThe coin came, as described, in the mint sealed plastic. I have a variety of 1/4-oz gold coins, and this is one of the best looking. The contrast of the polished and matte areas don't show up will in pictures, and it's truly a lovely coin to look at. I'm very happy with the purchase, even if it's a few dollars extra over spot for this one versus some others.
