Each 1 oz silver coin consists of .999 fine silver, acts as legal tender in the Republic of Armenia, and has a face value of 500 dram. Further, these silver coins are struck in an IRA approved facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
The creative elements on this silver coin were inspired by the Republic of Armenia’s history with Christianity. Armenia attained the designation of “the first Christian nation”; the history of Christianity in Armenia dates back to 301 AD. Also, Mount Ararat, thought to be where the ark finally made landfall, is located within the Armenian Republic.
The obverse of the Noah’s Ark silver coin depicts the ark adrift in the flood waters God used to purge our world. The obverse also shows a dove carrying an olive branch, which represented the existence of land; Mount Ararat is featured in the background. “NOAH’S ARK” in English and Armenian is inscribed near the rim.
The reverse of this 1 oz silver coin depicts the Armenian coat of arms surrounded by the coin’s weight, purity, face value and year of issue. “REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA” is inscribed around the rim in Armenian and English.
