The koala inhabits the eucalyptus woodlands of Australia and its diet consists of the leaves of the eucalyptus trees. These native Australian marsupials can sleep up to 20 hours per day, which is partly caused by the low nutritional value of their diet. Perth Mint has outdone itself once again in the making of the 2016 Koala coin. The image here of this coin doesn?t do it justice. The artwork is realistic and beautifully detailed, the relief is outstanding and as always the contrast between the Koala and the background is striking. A handsome addition to the Koala collection, I will definitely be picking up more.
