I have bought several of these 5 oz bars & have been nothing but very pleased with them. They have all been in their own soft protective plastic, look new and shipped in a timely manner. I have been buy from Provident for a year now & will continue to do so as they always beat all others in every category.

A Good Buy

I've always had a soft soft for 5 ox bars for some reason. Normally, I buy 10 ouncers, but like the idea of holding smaller bars, but not 1 oz bars. These are good-looking bars. Not new, but hey, it's bullion!
I've been buying from Provident for about 3 years now and they have the market cornered on price and shipping cost, compared to the competition (you know who!) -

I bought two of these after reading the reviews. One of the ones I ordered was almost new, shiny and in a protective plastic sleeve. The second one looked like it was dragged behind a car from Texas to Illinois. I weighed it and it is slightly under 5 ounces.
At this price though silver is silver. Would try these again and cross my fingers. -

I ordered 10 oz. of these bars when Provident had a weekend special. I received two shiny 5 oz. bars (looked brand new) with protective covers. Very nice! I'll order again.

Great product and easier to store than coins

I really like the 5 oz silver bars. I'm interested in the lowest price per ounce but also a product that's easy to store and low enough in cost as to be easily resold or bartered should that become necessary. These fit the bill. I should mention that these bars are each in an individual soft plastic case to protect them, as that's not explicit in the product description. I'm planning to buy more on dips.

These bars may not be as shiny as the new ones but you're getting the same oz as the new bars for less $$$. Will come back again next month. I bought some from @pm3x before but Providentmetals have better prices and customer service. Keep on stacking while prices are still affordable.

Orders are shipped only after receipt of good funds. Orders paid by bank wire, credit card or postal money orders usually ship within 3-5 business days. Orders paid by personal check, cashier’s check or bank money order are held until funds fully clear (at least 6 business days and as many as 10 business days) before processing.
A majority of orders are shipped via USPS. FedEx, UPS and Brinks are also used on occasion at our discretion. If you would like to use a specific shipping service, please contact Customer Service at (877) 429-8790 for a custom shipping quote.
All orders are shipped fully insured.
Multiple orders cannot be combined to save on shipping or for any other purpose.
All packages over $50 require a signature to be received.
All packages shipped via USPS will be shipped First Class, Priority or Express Mail.
All orders totaling $5,000 or more will be shipped USPS Priority Registered Mail.
You will be notified by email when your package(s) ships. To protect our customers and Provident Metals from possible fraudulent activity, we do not provide tracking numbers on orders placed with credit cards.
All packages are shipped securely in inconspicuous packaging and give no indication of contents. Boxes may or may not be addressed from “Provident”.
Some oversized packages may be shipped Federal Express or UPS.
We offer flat rate shipping based upon each order’s subtotal.

At this time we may ship to other countries on a case-by-case basis depending on USPS/UPS/FedEx shipping policies. Additional costs may be incurred.
