Peace Dollars were minted from 1921 through 1928, and again from 1934 through 1935, in Philadelphia (no mintmark), San Francisco (“S” mintmark), and Denver (“D”). Each Peace Dollar is composed of .900 fine silver, yielding a total silver content of .77344 troy ounces per coin, and measures 38.1mm in diameter. To arrive at a design, the federal Commission of Fine Arts held a competition among some of the country’s greatest sculptors and medalists which was won by a young Italian immigrant named Anthony de Francisci whose submission was modeled upon his wife Teresa. The obverse of the Peace Dollar depicts the strong profile of a crowned Lady Liberty, facing left, hair flowing behind her. The reverse captures an American eagle at rest upon a rocky outcropping, peering at the sun through a pattern of its rays. The eagle stands upon a rock and upon that rock is written a single word: Peace.

- Excellent!ExHackon 10/5/14
OverallReceived a perfect, shining 1923 Peace dollar along with a tube of ASEs. If you are a connoisseur, you will appreciate the understated beauty and elegance of the Peace dollar; if you are a metals investor, this coin will add a bit of variety to your stash.
- coins greatLarryon 10/1/14
OverallI ordered 5 coins thinking I would get some mix in dates. Coins I got all was 1923 P, no other dates. Four was in the condition I ordered and one was not. The price was very good but with no mix in dates and the one toned coin. I will order again before I decide if its worth it.
- NICE!Matton 1/17/14
OverallGreat BU coins, one I got is an absolute stunner!
- all 1922 :(danielon 11/23/13
Overallbought a roll all 22's no mint marks on any. so no variety and not really that bu to be honest.
- Would have liked a better mixdoggiemanon 9/26/13
OverallOrdered 10 Peace BU's to get started: 5 22P's, 4 23P's & 1 25P. Would have liked a better year mix. Decent quality overall however all showed signs of wear on the reverse side.
- Looked like it had been cleanedBrandonon 9/16/13
OverallThe obverse of my coin looked like it had multiple buff marks present to make it look like a BU coin, also the back of the coin was a little dirty.
- As advertisedMelon 8/27/13
OverallI have purchased several BU Morgans and Peace dollars from Provident. The coins do appear to be BU but on the lower end in my opinion. The last Peace dollar I received had a lot of bag and scratch marks but could tell that it was in uncirculated condition. Overall, my experience with provident has been great. Not to pleased with the shipping rate increase though.
- Dissapointed...Martinon 8/15/13
OverallOrdered 10 of these brilliant uncirculated peace dollars just to get a feel for the quality, and wont be ordering any more. Two out of the ten were extremely dirty, like something you would expect from a low premium cull coin. The remaining were atleast clean but had excessive scratches and dings to be sold as brilliant uncirculated. Took these to my coin guy and he graded most in the realm of almost uncirculated, so therefore I cannot reccomend these coins and give it a weak two stars.
- Wow! These are beautiful coins!Roberton 8/1/13
OverallI ordered ten (10) of the "Almost Unirculated" and ten (10) "Brilliant Uncirculated" for my boys. They were all absolutely stunning. It took a little bit of inspection to distinguish the AU from the BU. But the BU are, upon close inspection, nicer than the AU.
Provident seems to grade very conservatively. Your coins will be, on average, a little better -- or quite a bit better -- than you expect. I'm sure it varies based on inventory.
The price for BU was actually the same as AC at my LCS in Nevada (a store that normally has really good prices for a LCS). In other words, Provident is offering these at a great price, and they are really beautiful coins. You'll want to just stare at them, they're so pretty!
Why can't our gov't make beautiful coins like these anymore?!
Buy some Airtite cases for 'em!!!
- Good and BadSilver $on 6/18/13
OverallI ordered four coins and got some variety - 1922P, 1923P (2), and 1924P. Three coins were beautiful. But one Peace dollar was completely off quality (more like AU than BU). So, I will have to see whether this aberration or norm when you order multiple quantities.
- Brilliant Shine!stevenon 6/8/13
OverallWow! I bought this for a friend but the brilliant shine this coin gives off is making me want to keep it:). I will be ordering more of these. Thanks Provident!!
- Very Happy!Alexon 3/22/13
OverallThis was part of my first order from Provident, and it is a beautiful coin. As I am writing this review I notice that the item is now out of stock - glad I got mine while the getting was good!
Good job Provident.
- Not a good mixtureRoberton 4/13/12
OverallOrdered five coins at the same time figuring I would get a little bit of a mix.
2 - 1922 P's and 3 - 1923 P's.
Beautiful coins, just wish there would have been more variety. Will defintely order again as they are absolute stunners but would like more variety!!!!!
- ★★★★★ VERY GOOD COIN ★★★★★SILVER SKIon 9/6/11
OverallI ordered 1 of the BU Peace Dollars along with other items and received a very nice uncirculated 1924 P coin in about one week. I would grade the coin I received as about MS 62. I WILL be ordering more from this company. I'm very pleased. The key is to place your order when silver drops to get the best price. ★★★★★
