The Chiwoo Cheonwang Series is a leading bullion collection from KOMSCO. The series debuted in 1 oz silver and 1 oz gold in 2016. Obverse imagery in the 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallion includes the shield of Chiwoo with the face of Do ggae bi. Chiwoos large battle shield is depicted here with its arched top and half-moon cutout in the bottom. Below the shield is the KOMSCO latent security image. Inscriptions around the edge include KOMSCO, 2019 Fine Gold 999, Republic of Korea, and 1/10 Clay.

Reverse

In the reverse design field of the 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallion is a design of Chiwoo. In this years exclusive design, Chiwoo is shown surveying the aftermath of another battle with his army. He has removed his helmet for a clearer view of the field around him. His shield is resting at his right side and his left hand steadies his sword as it stands on its tip.

History

Chiwoo Cheonwang medallions debuted in 2016 at the same time that KOMSCO introduced the Korean Tiger bullion series. One year later in 2017, KOMSCO introduced the 12-medal Zi:Sin Series. These three collections represent the most prominent investment options for precious metal enthusiasts.

These 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition sealed inside of a protective assay card. The card includes the weight, metal content, and purity of the medal. From the 5,000-medal mintage, KOMSCO packaged 1,250 of the medals in these unique black assay cards. There are three other colors of cards, blue, white, and red, that each has 1,250 medals as well.
