North View Products has introduced a thoughtful line of gold and silver bullion that draws attention to the lasting value of precious metals. Each item in the series is stamped with the US dollar sign ($), but the real worth comes from the gold or silver content, not the symbol itself. This design points out the contrast between symbolic money and the physical value of real bullion. Now, you can buy 1 Gram Gold Money Gram Bars from North View Products online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
These 1 Gram North View Products Money Gram Gold Bars are part of the new series and are packaged in protective plastic. This 1 Gram option is the smallest bar in the Money Gram line from North View Products.
Design
The obverse of the North View Products Money Gram Gold Bar centers on the dollar sign ($), a symbol many recognize but few understand fully. One of the most accepted ideas about its origin connects it to the Spanish peso, known historically as the piece of eight. It was often shortened as “Ps,” and over time, the letters merged and evolved into the modern design with vertical strokes through the S. This symbol is the main focus on the front side of the bar. On the reverse side, the bar has a smooth, blank surface. This clean finish reflects the minimalistic style seen throughout the Money Gram collection and emphasizes the gold itself. The inscriptions on the obverse include MONEY GRAM, 1 GRAM, .999 GOLD, and the NVP mint mark.
History
Gold has a long history as a form of money, going back more than 4,000 years. Ancient civilizations like the Lydians were the first to mint gold coins around 650 BCE, setting the stage for using gold based on its strength, ease of division, and lasting value. In more recent times, countries followed the gold standard from 1870 to 1914, setting currency rates based on gold and creating stable trade and financial systems during that era.
