The latest release in the series, the 1 Kilo silver round has the lowest mintage in the series and the largest visual field for the beautiful design. The rounds in the 1 Kilo weight are available with protective plastic capsules and arrive inside of wooden display boxes with an included Certificate of Authenticity.

Obverse

The obverse of Silver 2021 Germania Rounds features a depiction of Germania. This new image for 2021 depicts Germania standing at the bow of a ship. Beneath her feet, the bow of the ship has a double-headed eagle. Germania is poised to lead her people onward as she has the imperial sword in her right hand and clutches a pole in her left hand that has a banner flapping in the breeze. She wears her body armor and dress with the laurel oak wreath on her head. The inscriptions on this side read 1 KG AG 999.9 and GERMANIA 2021.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 1 Kilo Silver Germania Rounds, you will find the iconic symbol of the mint. The double-headed eagle is associated with Roman mythology and the god Janus, as well as the Roman Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the German Empire, among many others that used the double-headed eagle in heraldry. The design shows the eagle clutching arrowhead-tipped lightning bolts in its talons and is flanked by two large olive branches. The inscriptions on this face include 80 MARK and GERMANIA.

History

The Germania Series started in 2019 with only a 1 oz silver BU round for investors. Proof silver and proof gold options have also been available, but 2020 and 2021 both brought new weights in the silver BU range. In 2020, these 1 Kilo rounds were added. In 2021, the Germania Mint introduced 2 oz and 10 oz BU silver rounds as well.
