Statue Design

The 3D depiction of the 30 oz Silver Antique Finish Britannia Statue depicts the female personification of Britain. Known as Britannia, her history dates back to the Roman occupation of the British Isles. Britannias name actually comes from the Latin word for the province, Pretania, and is now a symbol of the kingdom.

In this design, Britannia stands defiantly ready to defend her land. Her left hand rests on a shield that is emblazoned with the Union Jack, the flag of the United Kingdom. Her right hand clutches the trident, a tool with the mythical ability to control the seas. On her head, she wears the Corinthian helmet.

History
