History

The Parasaurolophus lived during the Late Cretaceous Period between 76 and 73 million years ago. Occupying North America and possibly parts of Asia, the Parasaurolophus was an herbivore that would use its extremely large hind legs to access higher, more fruitful branches. Some of the hallmarks of the Parasaurolophus include its narrow, pointy tail and enormous crest that could grow up to six feet long. As for their total length, these mighty creatures could extend up to 33 feet, which is nearly the size of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
