History
The Perth Mint is the oldest operating mint facility in Australia. A wholly-owned entity of the government of Western Australia, the Perth Mint was founded as the third branch facility of the Royal Mint of England just two years before Australias federation process. With the opening of the Royal Australian Mint in 1965, the Perth Mint no longer issued circulation denomination, but its bullion coins remain legal tender in Australia.

These 1 oz Gold Bars are available with the sealed plastic assay card capsule. The cards include the classic green Assay Card from the Perth Mint. The card validates the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar. There is also a unique serial number and the signature of a certified assayer.
