The obverse side of each 2019 South Korean Zi:Sin Scroga Hybrid 1 oz Silver Medal with Gold and Rhodium plating bears the image of Do ggae bi. He is a grotesque figure on the battle shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang. This image was used solely to strike fear into the hearts of Chiwoo Cheonwangs enemies. Do ggae bis appearance is said to possess the power to ward off evil spirits. Koreans would use this image outside of their homes for safety. This side of the medal has rhodium plating.

Reverse

The reverse side of each medal showcases the image of Scrofa, the female guardian whose special ability to detect danger helps her protect the mortal world. Her figure is covered in gold plating on this side of the medal.

History

KOMSCO released the first coin in the Zi:Sin series in 2017. The coins feature images of the 12 Guardians. At first, the collection included one silver and one gold medal with one of these figures on the reverse of the medal.
