History
Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost is a member of the Augustinian order who was born in the United States and has served across the globe. In 2023, Pope Francis appointed him as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops, and he was elevated to the rank of Cardinal later that year. Prevosts extensive background includes serving as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru for over ten years and leading the Order of Saint Augustine as Prior General before that.
