In Norse mythology, Valkyries were fierce celestial warriors who served Odin, the chief god. These warrior maidens flew over battlefields on winged horses, selecting the fallen warriors who would be carried to Valhalla, the great hall of heroes. Each of the 1 oz Silver 2025 Valkyries Arnhild Rounds available at Provident Metals arrives in a protective capsule and in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. This round marks the final design of the Valkyries Series, continuing the iconic reverse design used throughout the collection.
Obverse
The obverse of the Silver 2025 Valkyries Arnhild Round features Arnhild, one of Odins Valkyries. Known for her archery skills, she is shown holding a bow and arrows, accompanied by an eagle. Arnhild is dressed in leather armor with a hooded cloak, and her belt is adorned with the Ingwaz rune, which symbolizes protection, abundance, and the continuity of life. Inscriptions include only ARNHILD.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 1 oz Silver Valkyries Arnhild Rounds, the round features a wooden shield with the Germania Mint seal on the right and an eagle on the left. The eagle represents strength, wisdom, and courage, qualities associated with Arnhild. The inscriptions include GERMANIA, 2025, 1 OZ AG 999.9, and 5 MARK.
History
Valkyries were more than just figures who chose the dead in battle. In Norse mythology, they were active participants in battle, often portrayed as both beautiful and terrifying. Some Valkyries were believed to have the ability to change the outcome of battles, with their supernatural powers allowing them to shape the fates of warriors.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
