Each round in the Norse God Series exhibits proof elements. These rounds denote a mirrored, antique appearance that gives the look of age while still being in new condition. The 1 oz Silver Antique Norse God Series Odin Round is the first design release in this collection. Other design releases include Freya, Hel, Thor, and Loki. Obverse

The obverse of the 1 oz Silver Antique Norse God Series Odin Round features an image of Odin sitting on his throne holding a spear in his hand. His spear was named Gungir and was known for never missing a mark. Around his throne, you will find several of Odins animal companions, such as his wolves Geri and Freki. Odin and The All-Father are inscribed on the obverse, as well.

Reverse

The imagine of Odins Valkyrie are found on the reverse of each round in the Norse God Series. The Valkyrie were warrior maidens chosen by Odin to watch over battlefields. They would ride on horseback selecting who lives and who dies. Engravings on the reverse include Valkyrie and Chooser of the Slain as well as the rounds weight, purity, and metal content.

History

Anonymous Mints lead creator Julie Lindquist developed the Norse God Series. Italian sculptor Luigi Badia makes 3D renderings inspired by the artwork of Howard David Johnson. Anonymous Mint partners with Osborne Precious Metals to produce these rounds. Osborne is the oldest private mint facility in the U.S.
