History
The bazooka is a weapon built from a steel tube that was introduced during World War II. Though formally known as the M9A1 Rocket Launcher, it gets its nickname from a humorous musical instrument used by comedian Bob Burns. The bazooka proved to be a valuable weapon on the battlefield, as for the first time it allowed individual soldiers to dispatch enemy tanks from a short distance.
