The all-new American Legacy Collection of silver rounds from the Osborne Mint features four design releases scattered throughout 2019. The series features four familiar American coin designs, but delivers each in a way the US Mint never could during the production history of these designs. With domed obverse surfaces and brilliant colorization, you can see these designs in a whole new light. Today, you have the chance to buy the 1 oz Silver Colorized Domed American Legacy Buffalo Nickel Round online from Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Arrives with capsules and a Certificate of Authenticity!
  • 1st design issued in the American Legacy Collection!
  • Limited mintage of just 5,000 silver rounds!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • A portrait of a Native American figure is on the obverse in stunning high relief.
  • The same portrait features on the reverse in left-profile relief instead.
  • Inspired by the Buffalo Nickel design from James Earle Fraser.
  • Colorized layer on the obverse portrait.
  • Individually serialized silver rounds.

Every round in the American Legacy Collection is unique compared to other replicas of these famous designs, but the colorized release just might stand out among the three versions as the best option to own. All rounds have a domed obverse that delivers a strike of the design with as much as 10 times the depth of detail as other replica silver rounds. Additionally, a layer of gold colorization is added to the obverse portrait to create visual contrast and added brilliance.

Obverse

The obverse of 1 oz Silver Colorized Domed American Legacy Buffalo Nickel Rounds features Frasers original design. The right-profile bust of an indigenous figure has long been viewed as a solemn depiction of North Americas native tribal people. He has braided hair with feathers woven in and there are inscriptions of Liberty and a date mark on this side.

Reverse

On the reverse of Silver Colorized American Legacy Buffalo Nickel is the same portrait from the obverse, but this time it is featured on a sunken side of the round and set in left-profile relief. There is no colorization added on this side, but that doesnt take away from the unique visual appeal of this sunken design element. Inscriptions here read 1 oz .999 Fine Silver.

History

The original Buffalo Nickel was designed for the United States Mint by James Earle Fraser. The coins were in production for circulation from 1913 to 1938. Today, it is one of the most replicated American coin designs. The American Legacy Collection offers the Domed Buffalo Nickel Silver Round in proof, antique, and colorized versions for collectors.
