The Suns of Liberty Mint is a small operation that started out of an apartment with hand-stamp presses and grew into a brand with its own manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania. The mint’s initial offering of pure silver was a silver square. Not quite a round or coin and not quite a bar, these silver squares were unique and available in various sizes. Provident Metals currently offers 1 oz Silver High Luster Finish Squares to you for purchase online.
When you purchase 1 oz Silver High Luster Finish Squares through this product listing, the items you receive are in brand-new condition. You will receive your silver squares individually packaged inside of protective plastic flips. Each one of the squares has a unique visual finish referred to as high luster. The high-luster finish delivers intense visual contrast between the design elements of the squares and the background fields.
The obverse face of the 1 oz Silver High Luster Finish Squares includes identifying markers for the product. Each one has a 1 design in the center that is surrounded by a small sunburst. The inscriptions above and below include .999 Fine Silver SOLM and Troy Oz. The SOLM acronym is the shorthand for the Suns of Liberty Mint.
On the reverse side of 1 oz Silver High Luster Finish Squares is an image of the mint logo. This radiant sun design has a small sliver slice along its right side with waving lines of sunlight emanating around the shape of the sun. The inscriptions on this face of the silver squares include Suns of Liberty Mint at the top, Trust in Yourself, at the bottom, and 2016, the year of production of these silver squares.
The Suns of Liberty Mint was founded by a former US Army Green Beret who produced his first silver items using a small hand press that allowed him to stamp and cut silver pieces on his own. The company originally refined silver products in an apartment garage and later grew large enough to open its own manufacturing facility. The Silver Sun Squares were the first major lineup from SOLM and came in these 1 oz silver options, as well as 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz silver.
