Obverse
The obverse of Silver MLB Milwaukee Brewers Rounds features the Brewers famous ball-in-glove logo. Formed cleverly from an M and a B that create the outline of a baseball glove, the logo is widely regarded as one of the most creative in all of sports. The inscriptions here include MILWAUKEE BREWERS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Silver Milwaukee Brewers Round includes the MLB logo: a horizontal bar split into two halves by the silhouette of a batter at center with a baseball near the bat. Jerry Dior designed this emblem in 1968, and it became official the following season. Inscriptions here include THM/MLB, ONE TROY OUNCE, and .999 FINE SILVER.
History
The Brewers originated as the Seattle Pilots in 1969. After difficulties during their first season, the team relocated to Milwaukee in 1970, bringing MLB back to Wisconsin following the departure of the Braves. In 1998, the Brewers moved from the American League to the National League, becoming the first franchise to switch leagues since the early 20th century. Over the years, the team has had competitive eras led by standout players and playoff appearances.
