The franchise faced early challenges but found success in the late 1980s and early 1990s after drafting Brad Daugherty in 1986. History
LeBron James arrival turned Cleveland into a perennial contender. After his departure to Miami in 2010, the team rebuilt before his 2014 return, which ultimately led to the Cavaliers first NBA Championship in 2016.
