Obverse

Loki is depicted in a natural setting on the obverse side of 1 oz Silver Norse God Series Loki Rounds. The design was created by Howard David Johnson, the designer of note for all five Norse god images in the series. Loki is depicted with a fish near his feet and a staff in his hand while wearing a helmet with large horns coming out of the front. The design element includes inscriptions of Loki and God of Mischief.

Reverse

A Valkyrie is shown riding on her powerful steed in the reverse design of the Silver Norse God Series Loki Round. This design is common to the entire series and features a female warrior on horseback with a shield at her side and a sword raised in the other hand. The warrior maidens of the Valkyrie were led by the god Freya and chosen by the All-Father God, Odin, to ride through the skies above the battlefields of men. The Valkyrie not only determined who lived and died, but also selected those who died valiantly for eternal glory in Valhalla. The inscriptions on this side read Valkyrie, Chooser of the Slain, and 1 Ounce .999 Fine Silver.

These BU silver rounds offer an exciting extension of the Norse God Series. The first release of these designs came with 1 oz proof silver rounds. That was followed by 1 oz and 5 oz antique silver rounds released jointly. The release of these new BU silver rounds will be accompanied by the upcoming gold-plated version of the designs.
