The reverse of the 1 oz Silver Reverse Proof PRCA Bull Riding Round shows a cowboy in protective gear riding a bull in the arena. Bull riding scores come from both the rider and the animal. Two judges give up to 25 points each for the cowboys performance and 25 points each for the bulls bucking power, for a possible total of 100 points. The riders control, movement, and timing are judged, while the bull earns points for power, speed, and kick. The inscriptions read BULL RIDING and PRO RODEO COWBOYS ASSOCIATION.

History

Bull riding is often seen as the most challenging event in rodeo. A rider must stay on a 1,8002,000-pound bucking bull for eight seconds using only one hand to grip a braided rope tied around the bulls chest. The free hand cannot touch the bull or the rider, or the attempt is disqualified. Its a demanding show of strength, timing, and determination.
