James Earle Fraser’s Indian Head nickel design, also known as the Buffalo Nickel, is one of the most iconic designs of any U.S. coin. Over the years, the classic Buffalo Nickel has been reimagined in the form of gold and silver rounds that pay tribute to the original coin issued by the US Mint from 1913 to 1938. These rounds contain the same metal fineness as coins, but they do not have a face value and are not legal tender. Rounds are a popular way for investors and collectors to hold pure precious metals as an investment.
Your order today will contain a sample 1 oz .999 Fine Silver Buffalo round in mint fresh condition, issued by various private mints over various years of issue. These 1 oz Silver Buffalo rounds are a great way to enjoy brand new silver bullion in a timeless design at an affordable premium over silver spot price.
The obverse features James Earle Fraser’s portrait of a Native American chieftain, modeled after the iconic Indian Head design of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. It’s believed that this design unites the facial features of three Native American chiefs: Two Moons of the Cheyenne, Big Tree of the Kiowa, and Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux. Inscriptions will vary.
The reverse features a profile view of Black Diamond, the famous 1,550-pound American Bison that once lived at the Bronx Zoo in New York. The great buffalo, which gives this coin its name, is depicted standing on a mound of prairie grass. Inscriptions will vary.

" Received order of 20 coins in tube in great condition. Only a very very few slight blemishes, no nicks. Coin is very attractive, both Indian head on obverse and buffalo on reverse done in a satin finish with a mirror-like background. A nice addition to any collection of rounds. Two week delivery from order to doorstep, even with a personal check. I expected a longer delay. Thanks Provident."

" My wife saw this coin and wanted me to add it to our order. I'm glad I did. It's a beautiful coin and we received ours clean and without defect. We received it faster than I expected and the packaging was great. I maybe getting a few mor of these."

" These are beautiful coins and priced to sale. Why pay higher premium for Eagles or Maples when you can buy these Buffaloes minted by a reputable mint for a much cheaper price? They also hold their value very well, and If your thinking about selling them in the future your best bet will be to sale them back to Provident."

" These are one of the most popular and beautiful rounds on the market. However they are classified as "generic" so for some reason most people prefer paying much higher premiums to get Eagles or Maples. I'm a fan of Eagles and Maples but these Buffaloes are the only rounds I'm buying from now on. They are much cheaper, just as beautiful and just as recognizable."
