The obverse features a horse and rider galloping across the rugged terrain. This round pays homage to the Pony Express, a horse-and-rider relay system briefly used to deliver mail cross-country in the mid-1800s. The horse is equipped with a specially designed saddlebag used to store and carry mail, known as a mochila. The inscription “PONY EXPRESS” is seen at the bottom.
The reverse features the classic scene of a sleepy Wild West town, complete with a saloon and hotel. Horses are seen hitched out front. An inscription reads “ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.”

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. I ordered this round on two separate orders, 3 weeks apart. Each pony express round has a large sharp edged lip from stamping the round off center. I notified customer service 3 different locations to report the quality issue. Customer service has yet to reply to any of the 3 calls with them. I also E mailed Provident, which they requested a photo of the issue. I sent 3 photos clearly showing the quality issue.
The round will not fit in a capsule do to this abnormality. Still waiting after 2 weeks for any kind of response. Other orders if other rounds were acceptable. Customer Service is non existant at this point if a problem arises from an order. Dont expect any help from Provident. Yes I was polite, and patient." |

The Pony Express Rounds have a really great design and some incredible detail especially on the Obverse in particular. The piece looked so nice at first glance, I thought I'd put them in 39mm Air-Tite capsules. The issue is the capsules could not be completely shut for any of the Rounds I purchased. The Reeded Edges have really odd and varying degrees of thickness as you look around the entire piece, so much so that as you stack them they actually sit on a very evident angle. The problem exists in the same exact area of every piece. I'd rate the Pony Express Round a 3 of 5."

I just received the 1 ounce Pony Express round today and saw that one side of the rim is higher than on the other side.
I attempted to place the round in a capsule and unfortunately, it will not fit properly. I recommend that one should avoid purchasing this round." |

Nice oz of silver . Very detailed such a nice strike . Over the years I have noticed these private mints are putting out exceptional products . I do wish the collection of prospectors came with COA with edge lettering that matches . I believe that would increase the value especially for a series of rounds . Also, it would be nice if the rounds had a bit more sheen not necessary a proof just some shine to bring out the details. Every one knows us silver junkies likes us some sparkle . I still give this five stars for the great design. There is a lot going on in this piece & it was well executed. Peace, Love & Happiness."
