Obverse

The obverse side of each 1 oz Silver The Kraken Round depicts the mythical beast emerging from the depths of the ocean to attack an unsuspecting wooden sailing vessel. The tentacles of the beast are wrapped around the ship and it has no chance of escaping the grasp of the beast. The masts have been broken and the sails tattered as a handful of sailors try to make an escape in a dingy launched from the other side of the ship.
