Designs

The Kraken features in the obverse design of Copper Kraken Bars. The design comes from the Anonymous Mint round design of the same series. The Kraken has emerged from the water to attack a Viking longboat. Using its long, powerful tentacles, the Kraken lifts the entire vessel from the water to violently shake it. As it does, the sailors aboard the ship jump to the perceived safety of the water, hoping the Kraken will be satisfied with simply destroying the ship rather than consuming the sailors. History
