History
The United States Mint was established in 1792 following the passage of the Coinage Act. It was the countrys first national mint, with Philadelphia selected for its central location. Since then, other branches have been established in West Point, Denver, and San Francisco. The mint produces US circulating currency as well as numerous bullion products and collectibles. Classic US Mint products include the American Eagle, the Gold Buffalo, and the celebrated commemorative coin collection.
