One of the most popular silver coins from the United States was the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Introduced in 1916, the coins design has proven so popular over the past century that it has been reproduced time and again on other bullion and commemorative precious metal products. Theres nothing quite like the original though. Right now, you can get 90% Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars online at Provident Metals in $10 rolls.
Each of the 90% Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars in this product listing come to you inside of a roll with a total face value of $10 (USD). The roll contains a total of 20 individual US Half Dollars from the Walking Liberty design series. Impressively, each of the coins inside of the roll remains in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
Date marks for the Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollar include 1916 to 1947. The coins in your roll will either have all the same date marks or, more likely, have a variety of different date marks. There is no way for us to guarantee the date marks on your coins.
On the obverse side of 90% Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars is a depiction of Lady Liberty from Adolph A. Weinman. The image of Walking Liberty captures her figure in left-profile relief with the American flag draped over her shoulders. She is shown walking from right to left across the design field with her right hand reaching out toward the sun on the horizon and her left hand carrying branches of oak and laurel.
The reverse face of the 90% Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollar bears an image of the American bald eagle. This design also came from Weinman in 1916 and depicts the American bald eagle resting on a cliffside perch with a small sapling between its talons.
The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was designed by Adolph A. Weinman as one of two Liberty designs he created and submitted to the United States Mint in 1916. The designs were submitted as possible replacements for the unpopular Barber Coinage designs on the dime, quarter, and half dollar. While Walking Liberty was chosen for the half dollar, his Winged Liberty design was chosen for the dime.
