Argor-Heraeus is one of the global leaders when it comes to the production of minted ingots for banks and traders, and is considered the global leader among precious metals service providers. While its classic bars and Kinebar Series attract a lot of attention, so too does its newer Lunar Collection of gold bars. Provident Metals currently has 10 Gram Gold Lunar Ox Bars available to you for purchase online.
When you purchase a 10 Gram Gold Lunar Ox Bar through this product listing, Provident Metals offers you a bar that is in brand-new condition from Argor-Heraeus. The bars are individually housed inside of a protective plastic card that includes a capsule at the center with an assay card surrounding it. The assay card authenticates the weight, purity, and metal content of the coin, and features the signature of a certified assayer. You will also find the unique serial number assigned to the bar printed to match on the assay card.
The obverse field of 10 Gram Gold Lunar Ox Bars includes a depiction of the powerful ox. In this design, the ox is shown standing amidst a grassy field with small patches of stylized blades of grass. The oxs powerful frame is on full display as it looks to the right and points its long, sharp horns skyward. The Chinese symbol for the ox is inscribed on this side in the upper-right field of the bar.
On the reverse of the 10 Gram Gold Lunar Ox Bar is an image of the Argor-Heraeus logo and other identifying features. The Argor-Heraeus logo comes with two circles, one set inside the other. The inner circle features the AH initials, while the outer circle has the full mint name of Argor Heraeus SA. The inscriptions below this include Switzerland, 10g Fine Gold 999,9, and a unique serial number between 1 and 3,888. There is also an assayers stamp on this face of the bar.
The Year of the Ox is second in the 12-year Zodiac. According to the primary mythological tale explaining the order, each animal was assigned a position in the Zodiac based on its arrival to a meeting with the Jade Emperor. The ox would have been first but for the small mouse that had hitched a ride on its back across a raging river only to jump off at the last minute and arrive first.
