The Prospector is a long-used logo for the private mint at SilverTowne. This logo harkens back to an era when Americans living on the East Coast and in the Midwest pulled up stakes and moved westward in hopes of striking it rich with precious metals discoveries. Whether it was the California Gold Rush of 1849, the Comstock Lode silver discoveries in Nevada in the 1880s, or the discovery of gold and silver in the Yukon Territories of Canada in the 1890s, prospectors were hopeful people looking to turn the tide of life.
Obverse
In the primary design of the 10 oz Silver Prospector Bar, the SilverTowne Prospector is featured in a design circle at the top of the bar. All designs and inscriptions on this side are arranged vertically from the top of the bar to the bottom. Below the prospector, you will find the purity, metal content, and weight of the bar.
Reverse
For the reverse of 10 oz Silver Prospector Bars, you will notice the designs are now arranged horizontally instead. In the central rectangular field, the Prospector logo appears again as he leads his donkey along toward the next opportunity to strike it rich. The SilverTowne cursive script of the mint name is also featured. The background outside this rectangular field has a waffle-pattern appearance.
History
The Prospector is the most common design from SilverTowne. It features on various weights of silver bars, both minted ingots and loaf, hand-poured bars, as well as silver rounds in a number of different weights.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed.
