Engelhard silver bullion products, due to their long history of desirability in the marketplace, have achieved a level of recognition among investors that is second to none. After being formed in the early twentieth century, the Engelhard Corporation rapidly grew to become the world’s largest refiner of precious metals before being purchased by BASF in 2006. There are no better names in the private precious metals industry, and, since Engelhard ceased production of its silver bullion products in the late 1980’s, the only way to attain these highly sought after items is on the secondary market.
We offer Engelhard silver bullion products in the following variations: the .999 fine 100 troy ounce extruded bar (whose standardized flat and wide shape make it an ideal candidate for storage), the .999 fine 10 troy ounce bar, the .999 fine one troy ounce bar, and the .999 fine one troy ounce Prospector round.
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.

I love Provident and this was about my 30th order when I finally decided to get 1of these random Engelhard bars and was very pleasantly surprised. Bar I got was in great shape with nice even golden toning on the reverse. It was the same size as the Geiger security line bars which I love so stacked great with those. Just ordered 2 more. Hope I get the same design but either way I can't go wrong at this price for Engelhard."

The bar i received has considerable wear but it's still a nice vintage piece. Engelhard items are in limited supply since they stopped being produced in the late 80's so wear is acceptable and expected."

I've bought these a few times and they've always been really nice. I've actually never had a problem with any purchase I've made here.
I know this isn't a forum but I felt the need to reply to Keith's comment about "losing $30 immediately upon purchase". Theres more of a premium on these because of their collectability. Yes, "Silver is silver", but some rare, serial numbered brands make the silver collectable. And thus it increases the price. Why would Provident sell a bar at slightly over spot when the people buying it can immediately go on an auction website and flip it for $30, $40 0r $50 more? Since you dont care about the numismatic value of certain bars and coins, you should just buy generic bullion. But these Englehard bars do have numismatic value. And just because you dont want to pay the extra premium, doesn't mean that these bars aren't worth that extra premium. This is no different than saying a rare 1/2 cent stamp from the 1800's should only be worth 1/2 cent, or a Babe Ruth baseball card should only be worth the cardboard its printed on. If you dont feel the price placed on these items is fair....just dont buy them. Theres no reason to leave a critical review because you only believe in the intrinsic value of silver. Its not Providents fault that theres a collectors market for certain bullion items..... Just saying" |

I'm glad Provident posts my somewhat critical reviews, as well as my gushing ones . (and I've had both). Guys, you lose $30 the minute you but this. $202 when spot is $15.75?? Cmon, Silver is Silver. Get some 10oz bars from Provident, or the prospector series, or NTR, etc. (I have them all). I did waste a $20 premium on a couple hand poured bars (couldn't resist, they are so cool), but really, for regular size/shape bars, why throw $30 away?"
