The Norse Gods Series of bullion bars is a shared creation from The Royal Mint and Germania Mint. Each bar comes sealed inside its own presentation card, with The Royal Mint overseeing distribution in the UK and Germania Mint supplying the rest of the world. The third release in this series focuses on Loki, the famous trickster of Norse legend. Right now, 10 oz Silver Norse Gods Loki Bars are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 10 oz Silver Norse Gods Loki Bar is delivered in a sealed package that helps keep the bar safe from handling and damage. The front of the card shows both The Royal Mint and Germania Mint logos. On the back of the card, youll find the main identifying hallmarks for quick reference.
Obverse
The obverse of the Silver Norse Gods Loki Bar showcases an intricate portrait of Loki. Unlike many other Norse gods, Loki is not tied to a single symbol or attribute, mirroring his shifting place in the stories. He is closely associated with shapeshifting; tales describe him taking the form of a salmon, a mare, a fly, and even an old woman, underlining how he constantly crosses boundaries and changes identities. The inscriptions here read LOKI.
Reverse
On the reverse of 10 oz Silver Norse Gods Loki Bars, youll see The Royal Mints emblem at the top of the design. Directly beneath the logo are the bars weight, purity, and other key hallmarks. A Norse-style emblem is placed near the bottom, tying the look of the bar back to its mythological theme. Inscriptions here read THE ROYAL MINT, 10 OZ, 999.9, and FINE SILVER.
History
In Norse mythology, Loki is known for his restless, self-serving nature and talent for causing trouble. He is the father of several major figures, including the giant wolf Fenrir, the great serpent Jrmungandr, and Hel, who rules the underworld realm that shares her name. Lokis role in the death of the beloved god Baldr sets the stage for Ragnark, the final battle in which he leads the forces of chaos against the other gods.
