Since 1982, the United States Mint has been issuing modern commemorative coins for collectors. After a 30-year absence, the US Mint began issuing commemorative coins to honor individuals, mark historic moments, and celebrate special occasions. Released in various designs, weights, and face values, $10 (USD) gold coins are a popular format for these collectible coins. Right now, you can buy $10 US Mint Commemorative Gold Coins online at Provident Metals.

With your purchase of $10 US Mint Commemorative Gold Coins at Provident Metals, the items in this listing come to you with a near-perfect certification. A gold coin with a PR69 certification exhibits full, original mint luster and has no more than two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this grade level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines found outside of the primary focal points of the coin.

The designs on the obverse and reverse of these $10 US Mint Commemorative Gold Coins will vary based on the coin series in which the specimen was issued. For example, in 1984 the US Mint issued gold commemorative coins in honor of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. These coins have Olympic runners with the Olympic Torch on the obverse and a version of the heraldic eagle of the United States on the reverse.

US Mint commemorative coins were first released in 1848 when a Gold Quarter Eagle coin was released by the US Mint with a CAL marking on it. This denoted the special release of the first US Mint gold coins using gold found in California during the California Gold Rush. The release of US Mint commemoratives continued through 1954 when President Eisenhower canceled commemorative coining amid declining interest.

These $10 US Mint Commemorative Gold Coins are chosen for you at random once your payment has been processed. We cannot guarantee which design or date mark you will receive. It is also possible the coins will have additional labels, such as UCAM/DCAM or Early Release/First Strike. We cannot guarantee if these labels will or will not be available with the coin you receive. Please remember you could get several coins that match when you buy multiples.
