Charles E. Barber was Chief Engraver of the United States Mint for 39 years from the death of his predecessor, his father William Barber, in 1879 to his own death in 1917. Barber was one of the Mints most influential Chief Engravers and designed most of the images used on American coins during his tenure. This included the Barber Coinage range, the name assigned to the dime, quarter, and half-dollar designs used from 1892 to 1915. When you purchase $100 Face Value 90% Barber Silver Quarters in this listing, you receive a plastic bag containing a total of 400 individual US quarters. The 25-cent piece from the Barber Coinage range has 90% silver content with 10% copper completing the metallic content of the coins.

Obverse

On the obverse face, 90% Barber Silver Quarters feature a right-profile bust of Liberty with masculine features and a wreath crown on her head. The coins feature In God We Trust above the Liberty head with a date mark below. There are also 13 stars in the design, with six on the left side behind Libertys head and seven on the right side in front of Libertys face.

Reverse

The reverse of 90% Barber Silver Quarters include a version of the heraldic eagle inspired by the Great Seal of the United States. The bird clutches an olive branch in its right talon and 13 arrows in its left talon. The heraldic shield is featured on the chest of the bald eagle while a ribbon held in its beak that reads E Pluribus Unum. Other features of the design include a random cluster of 13 stars above the eagles head.

History

The Barber Coinage is a term that refers to the dime, quarter, and half-dollar designs created in 1892 by Charles E. Barber for those circulation denominations. The bust of Liberty on the obverse of all three coins was the same, while the quarter and half-dollar coins shared the same heraldic eagle design and the dime had its denomination inside of a wreath.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.

When will my order ship?

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
