Copper is a valuable metal to various commercial and industrial sectors. Copper has long been used in the production of water and gas pipes in homes, as well as electrical wiring. It is highly resistant to corrosion and has high thermal conductivity, making it ideal for electrical wiring.

On the obverse and reverse fields of these 100 oz Copper Bars, you will find various different designs possible. Most copper bars are produced as cast items that have inscriptions stamped only on the obverse. These inscriptions typically identify the mint of origin, weight, purity, and metal content for the bar. The reverse is typically blank, but may show various textures or striations that result from the production process. Please note that any images attached to this listing are for visual purposes only and do not necessarily represent bars available at any given time.

Copper has long been used in the production of coins. In the United States, the earliest gold coins issued starting in 1794 had copper alloyed into the metallic composition of the coins to ensure greater durability in circulation. By the 1830s, US gold and silver coins in circulation had 90% gold or 90% silver, with 10% copper in the alloy for durability. Modern US coinage also has copper as a part of the various alloys used in different denominations.

100 oz Copper Bars offered here come in varied conditions from numerous mints. The conditions could be like-new or have varying degrees of wear and tear. The designs and conditions can both vary in this listing. We are not able to guarantee a particular design or condition in advance. Provident Metals selects all bars at random after your payment clears. We will fulfill your order from our available inventory at that point in time.
