Highlights:
When you purchase an 1883-CC Morgan Dollar Silver Coin online in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a coin in MS62 condition. Coins bearing this grade showcase a diminished or subdued mint luster, marked by clusters of small contact marks, a handful of notable marks or nicks in key focal areas, and clearly visible hairlines.
Obverse
Morgan’s remarkable design for the Lady Liberty depiction on the obverse side of the 1883 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin immortalizes her beauty in a left-profile portrait. Inscriptions on this side read E PLURIBUS UNUM, LIBERTY, and 1883.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 1883-CC Morgan Dollar Coin presents an awe-inspiring depiction of the bald eagle, captured in a dynamic pose with its wings unfurled and its talons firmly clutching an olive branch and arrows. The inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, ONE DOLLAR, and the CC mint mark.
History
Carson City Mint Morgan Dollars are some of the most popular in the series. Though Carson City was one of three branch mints to issue the coins from the beginning in 1878, it would only continue to strike the coins through 1885 and then again from 1889 to 1893 before closing permanently.
