The GSA Hoard refers to the millions of Carson City Mint Morgan Dollar Silver Coins discovered in US Treasury vaults in the 1960s. The Government Services Administration audited the hoard to get an accurate count of the total by dates in the series at the Carson City Mint. The coins were then packaged and sold to collectors through auctions starting in the early 1970s.

Obverse

Designed in 1878 along with the obverse image, this shows the bald eagle with the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons.
