Obverse
The obverse of the 1884-O Morgan Dollar features a refined left-profile image of Lady Liberty. It is believed that Anna Willes Williams was the model for this design. Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crown, encircled by 13 stars. The inscriptions read LIBERTY, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1884.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1884-O Morgan Dollar Silver Coin displays the heraldic eagle without a national shield. The eagle is shown facing forward with its wings fully spread, grasping both arrows of war and an olive branch, which signifies peace. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, ONE DOLLAR, and the O mint mark.
