One of the most well-known coin designs in American history is the Liberty Head Eagle, created by Christian Gobrecht. First introduced in 1838, the image of Liberty appeared that year on the Eagle, Half Eagle, and Quarter Eagle. This classic design stayed on these denominations for decades, through 1908 on some versions. Among the most collectible of these coins are the Half Eagles struck at the Carson City Mint. Right now, you can find certified 1893-CC $5 Liberty Half Eagle Gold Coins for sale online at Provident Metals.

History

These 1893-CC Liberty Half Eagles represent the final release from the Carson City Mint, which was shut down later that same year. Alongside Carson City, coins were also struck in 1893 at the Philadelphia, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mints.
