Obverse
Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse of these Morgan Dollar Silver Coins. This classic effigy presents her in left-profile relief in the neo-classical style. Designer George T. Morgan famously included both a crown of wheat and a Phrygian cap on Ms. Libertys head as a symbol of freedom. Obverse inscriptions read E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1896.
Reverse
An American eagle occupies the reverse of 1896 Morgan Dollars. This heraldic motif is credited to Morgan as well. Compared to the Great Seal, this rendering offers a more stripped-down depiction of the bird as it carries an olive branch and arrows in its talons. History
Born in 1845, George T. Morgan was a renowned engraver for the United States Mint. His crowning achievement was the design of the Morgan Silver Dollar, which remains one of the most recognizable coins in American history. In 1877, Mr. Morgan was appointed 7th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. The following year, The Morgan Dollar entered production, cementing his legacy as an icon of coin artistry.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
