The obverse of the 1898 Morgan Dollar unveils a left-profile relief of Lady Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crowna design masterpiece by George T. Morgan. Inscriptions read E PLURIBUS UNUM, LIBERTY, and 1898.

Flip the 1898 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin to discover the reverse side, showcasing Morgans interpretation of the national seal featuring a heraldic eagle in front-facing relief, complemented by the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace. The inscriptions here include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.

Production of Morgan Dollars in 1898 averaged 4.808 million coins across the three branch mints that were active in Morgan Dollar coining for the year. While Philadelphia was well above the average mark, both New Orleans and San Francisco were just below the average mark.
