Obverse

The obverse of the 1899 $10 Liberty Eagle Coin features a portrait of Lady Liberty, created by Gobrecht in 1838. Liberty is shown in left-profile with a coronet crown, surrounded by 13 stars and the minting year at the bottom. Inscriptions on this side include LIBERTY and 1899.

Reverse

The reverse side of the 1899 Liberty Eagle Gold Coin displays Gobrechts heraldic eagle design, featuring a bald eagle facing forward, with the national shield, arrows of war, and an olive branch. Type II coins include an added banner above the eagle with the national motto. The inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and TEN D.
