With over 650 million coins struck, Morgan Dollar Silver Coins are some of the most well-known bullion coins in the world today. The Philadelphia Mint alone has produced over 300 million coins. These coins in particular are unique as they bear no mint mark on the actual coin. Today, Provident Metals is proud to bring you 1900 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins for purchase.
Highlights:
Each 1900 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin will be delivered in PCGS protective plastic slabs, ensuring their safeguarding. These coins have been professionally graded as MS65 by the Professional Coin Grading Service, signifying their above-average mint luster. They may exhibit a few smaller scattered contact marks or two heavier ones, along with possible patches of hairlines. The PCGS, along with the NGC, is one of the more reputable coin grading providers in the world.
Obverse
The obverse field of all 1900 Morgan Dollar Coins showcases the iconic image of Lady Liberty. Shes shown wearing a Phrygian cap, laurel wreath, and coronet crown. Surrounding the image are 13 stars along with the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1900.
Reverse
The heraldic eagle graces the reverse field of the Morgan Silver Dollar Coins. Designed by George T. Morgan this captivating design features a front-facing bald eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows, and an olive branch in its talons. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
Morgan Dollar Silver Coins were minted from 1878 to 1904, again in 1921, and most recently in 2021 to commemorate the centenary of their last minting. Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan designed both the obverse and reverse fields of these coins, earning the program its name.
