History

William McKinley served as America’s 25th president from 1897 until his death in 1901. His time in office helped shape the countrys role on the world stage, especially after the Spanish-American War. McKinley also supported strong economic policies, like protective tariffs and the gold standard, that helped pull the nation out of an economic slump.
