The return of the Morgan Dollar was short-lived as it was only issued in 1921, but that date mark had the largest mintage of any year by far. Coins in MS63 condition showcase impaired mint luster with the possibility of several small contact marks and a few heavier marks. Small patches of hairlines and scuffs marks are also possible.

Obverse
The obverse of the 1921 Morgan Dollar features an effigy of Lady Liberty. This design was created in 1878 by George T. Morgan and showcases Liberty in left-profile relief with a Phrygian cap on her head, as well as a coronet crown and a laurel wreath. There are 13 stars on the edge of the design field and inscriptions of 1921 and E PLURIBUS UNUM. You will also notice the word LIBERTY engraved on the coronet.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 1921 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins is an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Also created by Morgan, this design shows a front-facing bald eagle with spread wings that is clutching the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. The eagle is flanked by a wreath of oak and laurel. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The 1921 Morgan Dollar may have been the last issue, but the coin went out with a bang. Some 86 million 1921 Morgan Dollars were struck, with the Philadelphia Mint issuing 44 million of those coins on its own. The Denver Mint and San Francisco Mint each contributed roughly 21 million coins each to production that year.
