Each 1925 Peace Dollar Silver Coin is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins ship in protective flips, and bulk orders of 20 may be housed in plastic tubes. As the fifth release in the Peace Dollar series, this coin represents a significant moment in American coin history, produced during a span of 10 years from 1921 to 1928 and briefly in 1934 and 1935.
Obverse
On the obverse, the 1925 Peace Dollar Coin displays a detailed bust of Lady Liberty. Her left-profile portrait features flowing hair and a radiant crown symbolizing enlightenment. Surrounding the design are the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date of issue.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1925 Peace Dollar Silver Coin shows an American bald eagle perched on a rock. Holding an olive branch in its talons, the eagle gazes into the distance with rays of sunlight emerging behind it. This design conveys strength and hope for peace. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.
History
The Peace Silver Dollar was the final silver dollar produced for circulation in the United States. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the coin features symbolic artwork of peace and liberty. Of the nearly 12 million 1925 Peace Dollars produced, over 10 million were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
